Evan Speaks about Split with Marilyn Manson

Evan Rachel Wood spoke exclusively to People Magazine about all the rumors circulating the net...she wants the truth to be heard. She is sick of all the false reports and the supposed "close source" who gave the Ira story.

Evan told People, "Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work. Someone used that opportunity to kick us while we were down and sell a completely false story."

"Manson owns the house he lives in. My brother has never stayed there and the person that said such horrible things about Manson being 'controlling' and 'emotionally abusive' is certainly no source 'close' to me," Woods says. "Manson has been by my side and taken care of me through the best and worst times. I love him as a person and as an artist. I will always be proud to have been a part of that.

"If any more attacks are made on us, it is the act of a desperate, selfish person, who is angry to no longer be a part of my life. No further comment will be made and we request our privacy at this time."

There you have it. IT IS OVER! Wow. Wonder who the next man in her life will be??? And I never believed the story of Manson being controlling and emotionally abusive. Not his character. He may have the shock rocker act down, but he's a big softy when it comes to the ladies.

Evan Rachel Wood Not After Big Money Movies

Evan Rachel Wood is more about the art than the money when it comes to the films she takes part in. She gets no satisfaction...

It's not satisfying. It doesn't matter how much I get paid for something. It won't, I dunno, do anything for me if I don't like the movie or am embarrassed by it. . . . Having integrity . . . definitely hurts your buying sprees, but I can sleep at night. I like that I never kind of have to worry or cringe when someone walks up to me and says, 'I love you in . . .' and you're like, was it something I was embarrassed of? I have to connect to something or else it's not going to work.

Evan talks "The Life Before Her Eyes"...

Ha. I really like the film a lot. It was a really strange but cool script. And I was curious to see if they could pull it off going back and forth between me and Uma -- if people would get annoyed by it or get confused. But it flows really well. And it's shot beautifully.

Talking about shooting hard parts...

Me and Eva [Amurri, who plays her character's best friend] got along great, and we definitely had fun, but some of it was pretty grueling. And the swimming pool scenes were incredibly cold. I've got some great photos of me running into the house with 20 blankets wrapped around me and shivering. That was the hardest thing to shoot.

Evan is currently working on "The Wrestler".

Evan Rachel Wood Across the Universe LA premiere

Evan Rachel Wood at the LA premiere of Across the Universe.

On the red carpet, Evan told reporters, "I don't know what I would do if I hadn't made this movie."

On making the film...

"We somehow got through it, there was so much going on, dancing, singing and acting that we didn't really have time to get nervous about one specific thing, we just had to do it," she smiled.

"Honestly, it's just the people that you keep around you. Seriously, all the people that are in this film are my best friends now, and I don't know what I would do without them," she said.

"Just when you think [life] can't get any more crazy it does!"

Evan Rachel Wood Across the Universe press conference TIFF

Evan Rachel Wood at the “Across the Universe” press conference during the Toronto International Film Festival over the weekend.

I don't know, but it looks like somebody set her off! She looks to have been crying as her eyes are glossed over...teary eyed. She is also flipping the bird. My only guess is that someone commented on her relationship with Marilyn Manson. People can be really cruel, especially stupid paparazzi. They do their best to get celebs pissed off or upset.

With co-star Jim Sturgess...

Not sure that I like the pea-green dress, but Evan sure looks beautiful as always!! Oh, and that angel necklace with the green gemstones is beautiful too...love it!

Evan Rachel Wood Newsweek Interview

Evan Rachel Wood talks with Newsweek. She says her favorite film, of the 4 screening at TIFF, is Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe," in which she (and the cast) sing dozens of Beatles songs.

Have you seen "Across the Universe" yet?
Yeah. I have no problem telling people that it's the greatest movie ever made.

Did you really get a Beatles tattoo on your ankle?

I'm going to cover it up for something better.

Why?
It's a strawberry with the leaves in the shape of a bird. But when people look at it, they say, "Is that a ferret sticking out of an apple?"

What do you play in your other movies?

I'm an alien. I'm young Uma Thurman. And I'm a young brunette working at McDonald's.

Do you prefer being brunette?
I have to keep it blond for roles, so I could go either way. But now I can't dye my hair black, because that would mean I'm a zombie.

Since you're dating Marilyn Manson?

People need to grow up about that.

But people love when celebrities fall in love.
I think people really get off on seeing someone fail. No one is waiting for me to say something smart. An actress is stupid—that's the best news. It's on CNN. People tell me I'm immature, and Britney's crotch is on CNN. Who the hell is immature?

Evan Rachel Wood - 4 films showing at TIFF

Evan Rachel Wood has 4 films, in which she stars, that will be showing at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival 2007) this year. Dang, she sure is a busy busy girl. Here are the films showing and a link to the dates and times...

Across the Universe - Julie Taymor's long-delayed Beatles musical. The film opens with the gorgeous straggle-haired Jude (Jim Sturgess) as he draws the audience into his tale of love, cultural revolution, protest, freedom and art. Travelling to the United States from his Liverpool home, Jude befriends Princeton drop-out Max (Joe Anderson, from Copying Beethoven and this year’s Control), and the pair move to New York City to live la vie bohème. Jude soon discovers his calling as an artist and finds love in the form of Max’s winsome sister, Lucy. Jude looks at Lucy and he is stabbed through the heart: she is a vision, the girl with kaleidoscope eyes; she’s like the sky, like diamonds…

In Bloom - In Bloom is a provocative and profound exploration of morality, conscience and memory. Basing his film on the novel The Life Before Her Eyes by Laura Kasischke, director Vadim Perelman (House of Sand and Fog) has created an elegiac, audacious story that explores the survivor’s guilt suffered by one woman following a Columbine-like school shooting.

King of California - Mike Cahill's King of California. A father (Michael Douglas) fresh out of a mental institution, alongside his emancipated teenage daughter (Evan Rachel Wood, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE), heads out on a quest to uncover an ancient Spanish treasure buried beneath the local Costco.

Terra - The animated directorial debut from Montreal-born Aristomenis Tsirbas features a celeb-packed vocal cast and an urgent message about environmental awareness. Evan Rachel Wood voices the main character Mala, an alien girl living on the planet Terra. When humans, who have exhausted Earth's natural resources and that of three other planets, fix their gaze on Terra, Mala must come up with a plan to help save her people from being eradicated.

It is rumored that Evan will definately make an appearance at the festival. We're told it's for Across the Universe...but who knows really. Not sure if she will bring along her boyfriend, Marilyn Manson, or not. If Manson does show up with Evan, I'm sure the outfits will be interesting, to say the least. Can't wait for the pics!!!

Across the Universe Soundtrack September 18 release date

Bono, Joe Cocker and the lovely Evan Rachel Wood put their own spins on classic Beatles songs in Across the Universe and its soundtrack, due September 18 via Interscope. The film, as many already know, opens four days earlier, September 14, in select theaters.

Beginning with over 200 songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, as well as George Harrison and Ringo Starr, the filmmakers eventually chose 30 songs that they felt best told the story of a generation. A love story set against the backdrop of the 1960s, turbulent years of anti-war protest, mind exploration and rock 'n' roll, Across The Universe is centered on characters heard in those songs, with the lyrics often part of the dialogue. Utilizing live action plus animation and digital effects, Across The Universe moves from the dockyards of Liverpool to Greenwich Village, the riot-torn streets of Detroit to Vietnam.

Evan Rachel Wood performs Blackbird, Because, Dear Prudence, Hold Me Tight and If I Fell songs in the film.

Evan Rachel Wood New York Magazine cover

Evan Rachel Wood graces the cover of the Fall Fashion 2007, August 27, issue of New York Magazine.

Cover Girl: Evan Rachel Wood

Beneath Evan Rachel Woods all-American, uncomplicated beauty lives a semi-suppressed style rebel. “It sometimes throws people off,” says the 19-year-old. “I keep the simple blonde look because of my job, but if I werent acting, Id have short black hair like Natalie Portman in The Professional.”

Wood first became known as every parents nightmare, the good teen headed for bad in Thirteen, and her next role is another transformation from sweet to radicalized: Shes the star of Across the Universe (opening in New York on September 14), Julie Taymors Beatles-based movie musical set in the sixties. As Lucy, Wood goes from high-school prom queen to Greenwich Village hippie, and hits all the eras fashions—an experience that prompted Wood to seek out her own vintage looks. “I ended up buying a couple of sixties prom dresses and some white heels to go with them,” she says. “I’ll bust them out every now and then. It gets so boring to be confined to one thing.”

Like most teenagers, she’s blown by the whims of the moment. “The other day, I watched the old Bela Lugosi Dracula movie, and I became obsessed. I went out and completely did the twenties smoky eyes, deep lips, and crazy hair,” she says. A crazy-haired Dracula woman sounds like something Woods boyfriend, 38-year-old goth rocker Marilyn Manson, would like, but she says his distinctive style hasnt directly influenced her wardrobe choices—except that she finds his lack of inhibition liberating. “When youre with someone like him, it gives you permission to take it up a notch,” she says. “I feel I can play around a little more. For so long, Id want to dress a certain way but wouldnt, ’cause Id be so worried about what people would think. Now I know thats such a waste of time. You only live once; youve got to go for it.”

Evan Rachel Wood Nylon magazine interview

Evan Rachel Wood opens up about life and her new love, Marilyn Manson, in the September 2007 issue of Nylon magazine.

“In the throes of a romance with Marilyn Manson, and with a number of high-profile films on the horizon, Evan Rachel Wood is sitting pretty.” — Nylon Magazine September 2007

On singing a Manson song in front of Manson: “We actually just went karaoking in New York. And you haven’t karaoked until you’ve karaoked with me. Everyone’s like, ‘Aw, no, I don’t wanna go.’ So they drag their feed, but the second they get there… [smiles] So Manson and I sang ‘Don’t Stop Believe’ and ‘Born to Run.’ But in the middle of the night, I looked at him and said, ‘I’m gonna sing one of your songs.’ And I Was just threatening as a joke, but then I saw ‘Lunchbox’ in the karaoke book. I don’t think he thought I knew the song… so I went up and just screamed it and sat it, sat back down, and he looked at me and said, ‘I’m so in love with you. You have no idea.’ It was really awesome.”

On her future career in music: “I’d love to [make an album] but I’ve just never met people who didn’t want to turn me into some pop diva.”

On being mature at a young age: “I’ve grown up in an adult world, so I’m mature. But at the same time, I can’t deny my actual age.”

On Manson being her inspiration: “We really inspired each other. I’ve been kind of shy about anything I did on my own, what I wrote or any songs that I made. I never let anybody read them or hear them, but he’s definitely made me feel comfortable enough to come out of my shell. I’ve been writing, getting really into photography now. Because Manson is just really encouraging in every way, it really makes you want to get up and go, and now we each have a partner in crime.”

Evan Rachel Wood talks Marilyn Manson in GQ Mag

Evan Rachel Wood talks with GQ Magazine aboout the love of her life, Marilyn Manson.

Does Marilyn's snoring bother her?? Nope!

“He snores louder than anybody I have ever heard!” she says. “I think it’s the sweetest thing ever. It actually lulls me to sleep. But he puts Geppetto to shame. It’s literally like [she starts low, like a lion growling, and then pitches higher, like a hound dog with a head cold, before finishing with two forceful exhalations. The snore, by my count, lasts several seconds]. It’s every snore you’ve ever heard, rolled into one."

Was the sex scene with Marilyn Manson, in the Heart Shaped Glasses video, real?? She explains it's not...

"We made it for each other. I just wanted to show that it’s okay to have different, weird ideas about romance. At the end of the video, we’re kissing and it’s raining blood—and for me, that was one of the most romantic moments of my entire life."

"Honestly. Because that’s how we were feeling at the time: Even though ugliness can be all around you—you can literally be in a thunderstorm of blood—if you look past that, it really is just two people holding on to each other. And you know, the same thing with the sex scene. If you’re going to have a sex scene, that’s what it is. When you’re with someone and you’re in love, that’s usually what happens. It’s not always soft. Sometimes it’s somebody screaming or whatever..."

"Look, if somebody can watch it and say, “Wow! I feel less weird now!” then that’s great. Somebody’s got to stand up for the freaks!"

She's just being herself...

“I’m really just being me and growing up,” she says. “And I’m sorry if I have blond hair and blue eyes and my boyfriend looks like a vampire. What do you want me to do about it?”

Evan Rachel Wood says Manson snores louder than anyone...

Evan Rachel Wood talks about her man, Marilyn Manson's, nasal nighttime issues in a recent interview for GQ Magazine.

She says, “He snores louder than anybody I have ever heard! I think it’s the sweetest thing ever. It actually lulls me to sleep. But he puts Geppetto to shame...It’s every snore you’ve ever heard, rolled into one...Manson’s going to kill me.”

Evan, I feel for ya!! My boyfriend snores soooooooo loud. I don't see how she could even sleep with such a noise. It's absolutely horrible. I kick my boyfriend to the couch when I can't take it anymore. Why should I get less sleep while he sleeps like a baby??

Oh, and it's not the sweetest thing ever...she's silly. Still love her! Not him!
