Following months of estrangement, Spears' pal Sam Lutfi phoned Barbara Walters Monday, claiming that Spears and her mom were speaking again.
He also revelead that Spears suffers from "mental issues," Walters said, and "has been to a psychiatrist and ... I assume she is starting some kind of treatment.
"Her mother has been very supportive of whatever it is that Britney is trying to do," Walters said, quoting Lutfi.
Lynne arrived in L.A. late Sunday night, paying a quick visit to her grandchildren, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
She was spotted leaving her daughter's house later that night.

After enjoyed dinner in Malibu, she invited one of her favorite photographers - Adnan - to join her at the plush Peninsula Hotel in Beverly hills for the night.

According to reports, on their way from the restaurant to the hotel, Spears, 26, made several pit-stops at gas stations, yelling and cursing at the gathering crowds.

The moron says he’s a little nervous about releasing the video because he performed poorly in bed! But we believe that the video tape will go online soon.

The moron also claims that he had a camera rolling without Britney’s knowledge as they bumped uglies.

He tells In Touch he met Britney in the bar at 1 a.m. and they ended up partying together in Brit's room before hooking up. "It was just normal, we didn't do anything crazy," he tells In Touch. "It was a little disappointing. It lasted for about 25 minutes and then we passed out."”(source)

Britney is being investigated for possible child abuse.

Britney Spears is now being investigated for possible child abuse as she prepares to battle her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two sons.

According to tmz.com, Los Angeles family services officials are “conducting an active investigation” into how Britney, 26, treats Sean, 23 months, and Jayden, 11 months.

Britney's lawyer Dennis Wasser appeared at an unscheduled hearing on Tuesday morning in LA County Superior Court’s dependency section, which handles child abuse claims. A lawyer for her estranged husband Kevin Federline was also present at the private hearing.

The mother of two came under fire last year for driving with her children sitting unrestrained on her lap and almost dropping one of her sons.

Criss Angel denies dating Britney Spears

Magician Criss Angel denies reports that he and Britney Spears are a couple. Angel was spotted with Spears Wednesday night having dinner, but insists that there meeting was strictly professional.

Criss Angel says he was helping Spears with her upcoming performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards. “It’s amazing what people think. We’re not together. Her manager is my manager, and I’m helping with one of her shows. I’m helping with her appearance on MTV,” he says.
