Us Magazine reports that after her dramatic Monday night, Britney Spears appears to be back on speaking terms with her estranged mother Lynne.
Along with pal Sam Lutfi, the two hit a Beverly Hills Mercedes-Benz dealership at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Looking solemn, the singer clutched a coffee cup and a Kabbalah book. (Later that day, Spears and Lutfi hit a J. Crew at L.A.'s Century City mall.)
Following months of estrangement, Spears' pal Sam Lutfi phoned Barbara Walters Monday, claiming that Spears and her mom were speaking again.
He also revelead that Spears suffers from "mental issues," Walters said, and "has been to a psychiatrist and ... I assume she is starting some kind of treatment.
"Her mother has been very supportive of whatever it is that Britney is trying to do," Walters said, quoting Lutfi.
Lynne arrived in L.A. late Sunday night, paying a quick visit to her grandchildren, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
She was spotted leaving her daughter's house later that night.
The two headed to a Longs Drugstore in Studio City, California, around 1:20 a.m. (source: US Magazine)
