Paris Hilton's New Hot Spot Could Be the Slammer

ABC News: March 31, 2007 — Paris Hilton's racy behavior has landed her in trouble with the tabloids many times in the past. But the hotel heiress' latest slip-up could land her in the grey-bar hotel.

Los Angeles prosecutors say she violated her probation stemming from an alcohol-related driving charge by driving with a suspended license. She could face up to three months in jail.

"If Paris knew that she was driving with a suspended license, she's in big trouble," said Harvey Levin, managing editor of TMZ.com.

The L.A. prosecutor's office said it is unlikely Hilton will get the maximum penalty, but that hasn't quelled the backlash against the star. A recent informal Us Weekly poll showed that 88 percent of readers wanted to see Hilton go to jail.

"Instead of jail time, I would like to see her get a real job," said one Hilton critic. "She really can't sing, she can't act."

'Battlestar Galactica' offers dark, intellectual series

Dailygamecock.com news : On her first day on the set of the "Battlestar Galactica" miniseries, model Tricia Helfer, then new to acting, was thrown into an intense sex scene with co-star James Callis in front of a 50-man crew.

After three full seasons of scenes in which her character, a very human looking robot named Number 6, continually seduces Callis' Dr. Gaius Baltar, however, Helfer has found a comfort zone. Now, the 32-year-old beauty has no qualms about draping her arms all over her castmate during a recent interview at the Sci-Fi Channel's offices in Manhattan.

"It's sort of kind of second nature now," said Helfer. "I'm always sort of hanging over him (on the set).

"If you're shooting late at night and they have `second meal,' they bring out burgers or pizza or whatever, we can eat it and go, oh we've got to kiss - I've onion breath, you've got onion breath, cool."

Red hot would be a better description of the on-screen romance between Baltar, the scientist turned president, and Number Six, who seduces him into betraying the human race. As "Battlestar Galactica" orbits towards this Sunday's third-season-finale, the fire has yet to go out for television's oddest couple.

Gwen Stefani, Grammy Award-winning artist, will work with the Top 10 finalists next week on American Idol Tuesday, March 27 (8:00-9:07 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), and will perform “The Sweet Escape” with Akon on the results show Wednesday, March 28 (9:00-9:30 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. It will be a pop-themed week, as contestants pick their favorite songs from that genre.

Elle magazine has accused Interviú magazine and journalist, Manuel Cerdán, of stealing topless pictures from Elsa Pataky, and offering to sell them them “several agencies”.

Elle has made an official statement denouncing Interviú for using stolen images of Elsa Pataky without permission from the actress or from Elle magazine.

Now tell me, Elsa goes to a beach to do topless, and Elle Magazine want exclusivity on the pictures? Sorry to inform you Elle, but nowadays, everyone with a cellphone can take pictures, connect to the internet, and publish on the internet, you can avoid this. If you want exclusivity on the pictures, take her to a closed set.

Simon Cowell - Bruce Springsteen!

According to the Drudge Report, American Idol host Simon Cowell’s spot on 60 Minutes is highlighted by a Q and A where Cowell says he’s worth five times more to his record label Sony BMG than its biggest recording artist, Bruce Springsteen. Per Drudge:

“I sell more records than Bruce Springsteen,” Cowell says of the rock star who signed a contract with Sony BMG reported to be in the neighborhood of $100 million. “In the last five years, I’ve probably sold over 100 million records. If [Springsteen] got 100 [million dollars], I should have got 500,” he tells Cooper.

Springsteen is Sony BMG’s biggest recording artist? Eesh. Well, then Simon probably could have come out and just said “fish live in water” and been done with it. Where’s the controversy? I mean, I guess when Marlon Brando was doing The Island of Doctor Moreau and other obscenely terrible movies near the end he was his studio’s biggest star(in more ways than one), but teenagers weren’t going ga-ga for his next film.

Personally, I don’t think this is going to affect Idol ratings too much, particularly because all the Jersey jean skiiers tuned out when Antonella Barba got a plane ticket back to the shoreside tanning salon where Jersey girls spawn, but mostly, mostly, because the majority of fans who still await with bated breath the next Springsteen album are wearing Levi’s high tops, bar-shirts, and Jack Daniels hats and contemplating high school football “Glory Days.” Most of these people lack the functioning IQ to realize that Bruce Springsteen has been recycling songs that once were good and are now schlock since “Born in the USA.”

Heather Mills demans £10,000 from Sir McCartney

Heather Mills is demanding £10,000 a day in her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.

The 39-year-old reportedly needs £3.5 million a year just “to get by”, but is willing to accept a one-off settlement of £40 million for a “high-speed” divorce.

Paul, 64, claims he is worth considerably less than the £825 million fortune he is alleged to have and is refusing to meet Heather’s demands.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Heather is making extremely large demands considering the brevity of the marriage. Paul wants to be as generous as possible but his fortune has been grossly exaggerated. He is certainly worth considerably less than the £825 million figure in The Sunday Times Rich List. The real figure is probably closer to £500 million.”

Paul and Heather attended a private hearing in London’s High Court last week which examined Heather’s claims that Paul was physically violent towards her during their four-year marriage.

The former model emerged “grim faced” from the London court, sparking reports her claims had been thrown out.

Heather returned to court on Tuesday (06.03.07) for an emergency application said to involve the couple’s three-year-old daughter Beatrice.

She represented herself during the 30-minute hearing, but refused to reveal what had been discussed.

Antonella Barba pictures may not have kept her on American Idol but they have prompted several offers to come the New Jersey native's way. Moving to the next "American Idol" round is no longer an option for New Jersey's Antonella Barba, so she could be pondering the various offers she has received.
"I just wish you could sing better," Cowell said on Wednesday night.
So does Antonella. The twenty-year-old New Jersey resident has been shown in various racy photos that are circulating on the web, and she was one of 16 finalists to make the cut on the hit reality talent competition.
The Point Pleasant Beach resident finally spoke about the photos and she admitted that they were a distraction. Barba admits she was distracted by fervor over the pics of her that spread over the web and issued this warning.
"These were photos of my personal life that got exploited without my consent," she said during a conference call Friday with reporters from across the country. "I've learned to be careful who you trust."

Antonella Barba Last words?

The booted American Idol contestant appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s morning show this morning on KIIS FM and she spoke candidly about everything thats been going on in her life.

When asked about the controversy that actually made her more searched for on the Web than Britney Spears for a few weeks, Antonella said:

“It was unnecessary, it was hard to deal with it, it was an unnecessary distraction … trying to stay off the Internet, some nervousness.”

“I tried to get through it … my family has been so supportive, they told me to stay focused and we will worry about all that later.”

For now, Barba told Ryan she would stay in Los Angeles for a while longer to see what offers come her way. She’s already been asked to host a porn party, of course.

Antonella says that singing is her number one priority, but would take acting offers if they came along. Call us crazy, but a Barba/Kristin Cavallari pairing would set Hollywood on fire.
